How to Really Love Your Child
Published in Paperback by Chariot Victor Books (September, 1992)
Author: Ross Campbell
Average review score:

Best foundational parenting book yet.
I've read many parenting books in conjunction with teaching natural childbirth education, but until this book was loaned to me by a good friend and mentor, everthying I had read until then was just surface reading. After reading Dr. Campbell's book, I realized that anything else I had read really didn't make sense without the basic foundation offered by Dr. Campbell. Now, having the foundation, I can use the other books (Nelson, Dobson, Sears) more effectively. The impact it has had on my being a parent is priceless. Both my husband and I saw immediate results and have been more fulfilled as parents. Thank you, Dr. Campbell.

Ian Fleming : a catalogue of a collection : a preliminary to a bibliography
Published in Unknown Binding by The author ()
Author: Iain Campbell
Average review score:

The Bible of the Fleming Collector
Ian Fleming: a catalogue of a collection is an Excellent Book, the one and only Bibliography produced to date. Its 71 pages are filled with information not readilly avaliable anywhere else, such as details of periodicals and reference material. Iain Campbell's collection yeilds many one-and-only items, such as letters to people who had dealings with Ian Fleming and his reaserch, special proof and advance readers copies (that are not believed to exist any more), and details of the Fleming First editions. The book is in wrappers (not a hardback-there was no hardback) with a clear plastic dust-jacket. It was privately printed by Commersgate in Oxford in 1978, (in an edition of about 1000, I will presume). It is difficult to say how many items are listed, but there can be up to and above 20 per page. The sections on the novels are divided into: First Edition, Proof Copies, Source Material, Antologies, Book Reviews, Book Club editions,Paperbacks(U.K), Foriegn editions, Film Brochures and related, and finnaly film Reviews. Other sections relate to the books and periodicals related to James Bond and Ian Fleming, (biographies, reference, critisicm, review). As you will suspect, much more thoughrer than you would expect of a 'Preliminary to a bibliography'. ...
Overall, the Campbell reference work on Fleming is an invaluable reference to any Fleming Collector. I have refered to it hundreds of times since i purchased it, as, I'm sure, you will!

If You Love That Lady Don't Marry Her": The Courtship Letters of Sally McDowell and John Miller, 1854™1856
Published in Hardcover by University of Missouri Press (July, 2000)
Authors: Thomas E. Buckley, John Miller, and Sally Campbell Presto McDowell
Average review score:

Great Story. Meticulous research. A "must have" resource.
Buckley's work on the agonizingly long and complex courtship of a distinguished Presbyterian minister (and later Confederate officer) and the divorced daughter of a Governor of Virginia is extraordinary.

The number of letters contained in this volume, PAINSTAKINGLY transcribed from handwriting that is (at least 50%) illegible, is astounding. The story told is compelling for even a cynical 21st century observer of love and life . . . and a rare chronicle of the political and personal impact of 19th-century Presbyterian varying "insights" into the mind, will, and intent of an sometimes angry and always fearsome God.

The notes and bibliography are priceless. They alone make the book a must-have resource for anyone interested in the 19th century history of southern Presbyterian protestantism, women's rights, religious bigotry, Rockbridge County, Lexington and most of the rest of Virginia. . . . . not to mention the geneaologies of perhaps half the population of the entire valley of Virginia.

Detailed, execellent, and pound for pound . . . no better value.

A credit to an editor's labor of love . . . and to the University of Nebraska Press for publishing it.

Imagining a Church in the Spirit: A Task for Mainline Congregations
Published in Paperback by Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing Co. (August, 1999)
Authors: Ben Campbell Johnson and Glenn McDonald
Average review score:

Great for small groups and church boards
What a refreshing and practical read. This book will help all who love the church and want to make it all it can be. The reflection and study questions at the end of each chapter make this book a very useable tool, and MacDonald's practical application of Johnson's theology and theory is clear, funny, touching, and on the mark. I've recommended it again and again to friends and colleagues.

In True Love
Published in Mass Market Paperback by Pipeline Publications (August, 1998)
Authors: Anna Campbell and Mary Inbody/Anna Campbell
Average review score:

The book provides new perspectives of life through eternity
The book opened my mind to new ways of considering the laws under which God governs. While the book is only an introduction to the many other books written with considerably more detail, it gives wonderful insight to the possibillities many have considered throughout time. Reading this book was an incredible beginning to a new level of "being" in this human experience.

Inside Edition: Life of Baby V
Published in Paperback by 1stBooks Library (June, 2001)
Author: Velma E. Campbell-Straight
Average review score:

Baby Heaven
This book is one of those can't put it down books. Once you start reading you have to finish it to find out just what the babies are doing next. Baby "V" is a very curious baby who all she wants to do is stay with her friends in baby heaven - a safe place! This book talks about issues that we as adults don't think that unborn babies think about or are concerned about. The life of a baby begans long before concepts takes place.

The relationship that these babies have with the Lord is wonderful, the singing, praising & worship and the love that these babies have the Lord is so awesome. You must read it!!!
